This research examines the supporting and inhibiting factors in natural disaster management in Luwu Utara Regency. Supporting factors include adequate budget, integrated information systems, and active community support. On the other hand, inhibiting factors encompass limited facilities and infrastructure, as well as a shortage of experts in disaster management. The research method employed is descriptive qualitative, collecting data through observations, interviews, and secondary sources. Systematic data analysis is conducted to provide a deep understanding of the government's role in disaster mitigation. The findings emphasize the importance of coordination between the central and regional governments, as well as the role of the Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) in disaster management efforts. This article lays the groundwork for recommendations and follow-up actions to enhance the effectiveness of natural disaster management in Luwu Utara Regency, a region prone to natural disasters.
